Of Oklahoma's 127 licensed hospitals, 85 are classified as general medical-surgical, 40 as critical access, and two are rural emergency hospitals. Of the 33 hospitals that have closed since 2007, a dozen were located in rural communities with few other options for care.

* The information displayed is a combination of data sourced from the Oklahoma State Department of Health's directory of open and licensed medical facilities and an open records request asking for a list of all hospitals that have closed in Oklahoma from 2007 to present.
