Number of Americans lacking health insurance fell dramatically under ACA

In 2010, the year that President Barack Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law, about 46.5 million people in the U.S. lacked health insurance coverage. That number had declined by nearly half by 2023, to 25.3 million.
