Funding for indoor air quality programs

About one third of school districts in Connecticut don't have enough money in their budgets to evaluate and improve air quality in schools, according to the results of a 2021 survey.

The Capitol Region Education Council, Connecticut Technical Education and Career System and regional school districts 6, 7, 14 and 15 indicated they lack sufficient funding for their indoor air quality programs. Funding is sufficient in other regional districts.
