What types of emergencies has the Appropriation Contingency Fund paid for since July 1, 2022?

Since July 1, 2022, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has issued more than 750 executive orders to deal with a range of crises. Most of those orders come with a $750,000 withdrawal from the state Appropriation Contingency Fund. Since July 1, 2024, the governor has paid out about $380 million from that fund, even though the Legislature has only deposited $150 million into it that period.
