Nineteen states and the District of Columbia are led by Democratic-majority legislatures, which have 223 electoral votes. Minnesota, with 10 electoral votes, is divided, with a Republican-majority Senate and a Democratic-majority House. Nebraska's unicameral legislature is officially nonpartisan, with five electoral votes.
