States weigh in on daylight saving time

In the past four years, 19 states have enacted legislation or passed resolutions, awaiting approval by Congress, to make daylight saving permanent. That would mean the sun rises and sets later in the day.

Legislation pending as of 2022; California voters authorized change, pending legislation; Arizona observes permanent standard time with the exception of the Navajo Nation.
