Great Salt Lake elevation over time

Like most saline lakes throughout the West, Great Salt Lake has declined over time due to drought and from humans diverting water from its tributary rivers.

Note: Data is average feet above sea level per calendar year. A railroad causeway bisecting the lake causes the north and south arm elevations to sometimes vary.
