The population grew between Jan. 1, 2021 and Jan. 1, 2022 in only one city in San Luis Obispo County. The city of SLO added less than 120 new residents during that time, an increase that is likely mainly due to Cal Poly students returning to the city after the campus was closed in 2020 due to coronavirus.
