Poverty Rates

Poverty rates are higher in the counties that have the most commuters into Pitkin. The average Colorado nonmetro poverty rate is more than twice as high as Pitkin County.

Nonmetro counties are ones not located in a Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the federal Office of Management and Budget, 2013.
