Florida's overall population growth rate has fallen dramatically since its peak during the pandemic

In order to calculate the state's overall population growth, demographers take into account three factors: natural increase – that is, the difference between the number of births and deaths; net domestic migration, which is the difference between the number of people moving in from other states and moving out; and net immigration – the difference between the number of immigrants and emigrants.
