Schools falling short of measles 'herd immunity'

More than 80 San Joaquin Valley elementary schools with kindergarten enrollments of 20 or more had vaccination rates for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) that fell short of the 95% that represents "herd immunity." Among the eight counties, only Kern County fell short of 95% for herd immunity. Click on a marker or county for details.

There are more than 900 public, charter and private schools with kindergarten enrollments of 20 or more students across Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tulare counties.
