FL police departments using facial recognition technology

At least 175 Florida police departments use facial recognition technology to generate investigative leads. While its use is publicly known, critics say individuals may not realize the technology helped lead to their arrest.

Sheriff’s offices, corrections agencies, highway patrol, and other law enforcement bodies were excluded to preserve visual clarity and prevent overcrowding in the map.
