Human trafficking reports rise in Missouri during pandemic 

Total signals received by the National Human Trafficking Hotline rose steadily from 2015 before spiking sharply in 2020 and peaking at nearly 1,100 in 2021. Reports to the hotline have gradually declined since 2021 before stabilizing at approximately 150 to 200 reports per year through 2025.
