Connie Chan outperformed polls by a wide margin

Polls conducted in late April and early May in the District 11 congressional race to succeed Rep. Nancy Pelosi undercounted voter preference for Chan because they were conducted about two weeks before Pelosi endorsed her. The election results may reveal the "bump" Pelosi's endorsement provided.
