Race/ethnic disparities in Alzheimer's death rates

Across the eight counties of the San Joaquin Valley, death rates from Alzheimer's disease are significantly higher for white, non-Hispanic residents than for people of Latino or Hispanic heritage. The disparities in the Valley are greater than California and nationwide, except in Kings County.

Figures represent the average number of deaths attributed to Alzheimer's disease as a rate per 100,000 population for each county or geography for the five-year period of 2019 through 2023.
