Income Rise for Black Residents Lags Other Groups

Median household income for Black Philadelphians increased by only 10% in the last 10 years, less than half of the citywide increase of 21%, and far below the income gains of other major racial and ethnic groups. All figures are adjusted to 2022 dollars.

Note: Figures for Black and Asian groups include residents of Latino origin. Latino residents can be of any race.
