Iron Fire in Gila National Forest

Forecasters from the National Interagency Fire Center warn that southeast New Mexico, including the Gila National Forest, will see above-average wildfire risk in May. The Iron Fire in the Gila National Forest, first detected May 4, is 100% contained.
