Guilford courthouses among state's busiest

Guilford County's two courthouses — in Greensboro and High Point — see the third-highest volume of court traffic in North Carolina, according to state data on criminal and civil filings from fiscal year 2022-2023. Guilford is one of 10 additional counties where eCourts case management software is launching April 29.

Total filings include civil cases from magistrate, district and superior courts, as well as estates and special proceedings. Criminal filings include felony, misdemeanor, traffic and infraction cases from district and superior courts. A criminal district case that moves to superior court will count twice.
