The population is aging across Maryland

New 2020 Census Data shows that the average age in counties across Maryland rose from 2010 to 2020. The number on the left shows the average age for 2010 and the right for 2020. Maryland's overall average age remained the same as the national average. The rise in age means fewer people in the workforce and more people at the age of retirement.
