The Ivy League enjoys home field advantage here, right? Not so much. Like previous years, Stanford GSB grads earned the highest starting base salaries. This year, the number was $148,375, a $3,000 jump over the previous three years. Harvard, Wharton, and MIT Sloan grads also topped the $140K mark, with graduates from the latter two seeing pay rise by over $10,000 since 2015. Overall, non-Ivy League schools accounted for five of the ten-highest bases in the Northeast. By the same token, graduates from two California programs – U.C.-Berkeley Haas and USC Marshall – experienced base pay jumps of $20K or more over the last three years. However, Georgetown McDonough was one of four programs to see pay decline over that the same period – the only seaboard school in that category. Overall, the highest base salary was given to a Wharton graduate at $350,000. Eight programs, including Virginia Darden, produced graduates who landed bases of $200K or more.
