Income Inequality Continued to Decline in Philadelphia, Though it Remains High

The Gini coefficient measures income inequality from 0 (perfectly equitable) to 1 (completely unequal). By that measure, income inequality increased slightly nationwide and in New Jersey during the pandemic, and fell in Pennsylvania and Philadelphia.
