Fatal elopement in Augusta

Carl “Jack” Johnson, a resident at Saxon Personal Care Home, eloped from that facility on the night of Nov. 24, 2023, and walked to a nearby Dollar General store before being fatally struck by a vehicle on Mike Padgett Highway.
