Black and Indigenous students report food insecurity most 

In a 2023 survey of community college students statewide, Black and Indigenous respondents were more likely to report being food insecure than other racial/ethnic groups.

Native American respondents were 67% likely to disclose being food insecure. 62% of Black respondents reported being food insecure. 59% of Pacific Islanders or Native Hawaiians reported being food insecure. 47% of Arab student respondents and white students respondents reported being food insecure. 46% of Hispanic of Latinx respondents reported being food insecure. 43% of Southeast Asian student respondents and 41% of Other Asian or Asian American student respondents reported being food insecure.
