Traumatic brain injuries make up 43 of every 100 injuries among hospitalized e-scooter riders younger than 18—more than double the share among motorcyclists
The chart shows how injuries were distributed across body regions within each mode, among paediatric riders admitted with major trauma in England and Wales, 2020–22 (94 e-scooter, 437 motorcycle, and 679 pedal-cycle riders). Riders were often injured in several places at once; figures show shares of injuries, not of riders.
