Heat injury reports involving Missouri workers
During the past six years, Missouri employers and workers have filed 1,465 initial reports and claims related to workers’ compensation that involved heat-related job injuries, such as heat stroke, heat exhaustion, sun stroke and heat cramps.
Injury reports steeply declined between 2018 and 2020, but have gradually began to rebound between 2021 and 2023.
