Status of New Yorkers rearrested on violent felonies

Over 31,000 violent felony arrests were made while a person was pending conviction on another case between Jan. 1, 2021 and Dec. 1, 2025. Data on original arraignments show a plurality were released on their own recognizance when they committed the second crime.
