This map shows the current "Rt" factor -- or "reproduction number" -- for all fifty U.S. states, plus the District of Columbia. If a state's Rt factor is below 1.00, that means that a person in that state with a case of coronavirus will spread it to (on average) fewer than one other person. At that rate, the virus would eventually die out. Those states are in shades of green. Pink states are places where the Rt factor is currently 1.0 or above, which means that someone with the virus there is spreading it to (on average) one or more people, meaning that the virus will continue to spread and get worse.
