Over 60 data centers already operating in NC, at least 30 future data centers are in the works

Each bubble represents an existing or future data center in North Carolina, as of July 2026. 

Future data centers include those that have been proposed, are being planned, in zoning and pre-zoning stages, or under construction. Data centers of unknown megawatt capacity are set to a standard size equivalent to the size of a 10 MW data center.
