How WV localities spent their opioid settlement funds 

This chart represents how local governments across West Virginia spent their first share of opioid settlement funds between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024.

In total, $6.9 million was spent by 226 local governments out of the $72.8 million distributed.

This information comes from a local spending report published by the West Virginia First Foundation. Per the report, 144 localities did not disclose spending any money. Sixteen other governments did not file a spending report and thus are not included in this analysis.
