Tech jobs in the DMV are doubling in 2026

Hiring in tech fell in 2025 as federal layoffs and government chaos rocked the region, per CompTIA data. But it's quickly rebounding in 2026, and the DC region had the second most postings in May compared to other parts of the US.

Postings increased slightly between August and September in 2025, moving from 11,828 to 12,132 as the summer closed out.
