Among state-owned entities, Saudi Aramco, Coal India, CHN Energy, National Iranian Oil Co. and Jinneg Group have the greatest share of global CO2 emissions, all above 2.9%. Saudi Aramco has the greatest share at 4.4%. Investor-owned companies with the greatest share of global CO2 emissions in 2023 are ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, TotalEnergies and BP, ranging from 1.3% to 0.8% of global CO2 emissions.
