Summertime bad air days in Connecticut have stayed stubbornly high

Connecticut has consistently had a large number of days in the summer with ozone levels that exceed federal standards. Much of the pollution that causes the problem comes from power plants in the Midwest, but actions to force those plants to lower emissions have been stymied by lawsuits and court decisions. The first Trump administration tried to relax emissions standards. It’s expected they will try to do that again.
