Baltimore Police have arrested more people year-over-year for the first time in more than a decade
Though BPD makes only a fraction of the arrests it once did, 2022 ends a long descent in the number of people BPD arrested. Police say a 23% increase in the number of warrants served drove the increase.
This is a bar chart that shows a large decline in the number of arrests each year starting in 2010 when almost 46,000 arrests were made. It culminates with 2022 data as of Dec. 10, where for the first time since 2010, more arrests were made year-over-year.
