Children identifying as Hispanic showed a particularly large and sustained drop in attendance rates after the onset of the pandemic, from 81% in 2019 to 76% in each of the three following years. Attendance rates for children identifying as Black dropped from 82% in 2019-2020 to 80% in 2020-2021 and then 78% in 2021-2022, before rebounding slightly to 80% in the 2022-2023 fiscal year. Changes in attendance rates for children identifying as White non-Hispanic were unreliable due to the small sample size.
