How Philly Students Are Affected by Gun Violence

More than a third of Philadelphia students surveyed in grades 7 through 12 reported that they have witnessed gun violence, and nearly half answered that one of their loved ones has been shot.

Participating in the survey were 1,333 students from Boys Latin of Philadelphia, Imhotep Institute Charter School, Mastery Shoemaker, Mathematics Civics and Science Charter School, Overbrook, Parkway Northwest, Sankofa Freedom Academy Charter School, Strawberry Mansion, and Universal Audenried Charter School.
