States with incentives for hydrogen production and/or use

14 U.S. states have or are considering legislation that includes tax credits or incentives for the use or production of hydrogen. The most recent ones target clean hydrogen specifically, while older provisions are for hydrogen in general.

*Incentives regarding alternative fuel vehicles and refueling infrastructure have not been included. Incentives that could apply to hydrogen projects but don't mention hydrogen specifically have not been included. Data accurate as of 04/05/2024.
