Rents are soaring across the country, and South Florida landed near the top in a 2021 ranking by the Redfin apartment-listing site. The Miami statistical area, which includes Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, saw an average residential rent increase of 31%, just behind Tampa and not far behind the New York area.
