Supply chain…manufacturing…quality control. Operations goes under many names. When it comes to base pay, employers give the nod to the Wharton School. In 2018, Operations grads pulled in $140,462, $6,500 more than runner-up MIT Sloan. A Wharton MBA also snagged the highest single paycheck at $175,000. Better still, the school enjoyed a near $29,000 uptick in base pay since 2015. That’s saying something, considering just five of the ten-highest paid schools in this concentration experienced an average pay increase of $10K or more. Overall, base pay correlated closely to rank, though a Michigan State MBA scored a $152,500 paycheck – topping the highest first-year high for any student at MIT Sloan, Chicago Booth, or Michigan Ross.
