Broadband subscriptions (approx)
The number of internet users and broadband subscriptions were approximated using data indicating number of users and subscriptions per 100 people. This comparison is useful for providing an approximation of the potential gap in access to internet and broadband in the region, but it is important to note that this provides only a limited picture. Absolute numbers of internet users does not show the digital divide across gender or geography, for instnace. Nor does the number of broadband subscriptions indicate cases where a single person has multiple subscriptions, or where a single subscription supports multiple users.
