This is a map of NYPD precincts. The colors show the number of stops per 1,000 residents. The 45th precinct in the Bronx had the highest rate at nearly 8 stops per 1,000 residents. The surrounding neighborhoods also had elevated rates along with Harlem, Midtown Manhattan and central Brooklyn. Staten Island, north Brooklyn and north Queens had lower rates.
