Estimated population pyramid of nursing homes in Alberta

Population pyramid is estimated based upon Statistics Canada report (Table 13-10-0829-01) as released in November 2022. Nursing homes are defined as nursing care facilities (6231), community care facilities for the elderly (6233), and other residential care facilities (6239). Numbers are rounded to a neighbouring multiple of 5 to meet the confidentiality requirements of the Statistics Act.
