Hurricane Milton: Searching Google for 'climate change'

Google searches for "climate change" rose as Hurricane Milton rapidly intensified into a Category 5 storm over the Gulf of Mexico on Oct. 7, 2024. They dropped after the hurricane made landfall on Oct. 9, and leveled off again. The red band shows when Milton moved over Florida.

A chart shows a large increase from Oct 6 through 9, then a quick drop off. After that searchers leveled off at about half the height.
