The rate of growth of B.C. municipalities with over 90,000 residents since 2021. 2024 numbers are an estimate. While Vancouver has the most population in 2024 at 756,008, its rate of growth of around 8 per cent was the middle of the pack. Surrey was the fastest growing municipality in this sample, with a 14.75 per cent growth rate since the 2021 census. The Township of Langley isn't far behind at 14.69 per cent. The slowest growing municipality was Saanich, at 2.03 per cent.
