Chicago Public Schools grows staff as enrollment shrinks

20th day student enrollment in Chicago Public Schools has dropped by 71,378 students between 2014 and 2024. There were 325,305 students enrolled in 2024. Full-time equivalent positions increased by 6,900 during that time.
