Data reflects estimated offenses reported to the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program by more than 16,000 law enforcement agencies covering 95.6% of the U.S. population. Rates are calculated per 100,000 inhabitants. Property crime includes burglary, larceny-theft, and motor vehicle theft. Violent crime includes murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault.
