Math 2022 to 2023

Proficiency in math improved for grades 3-8 across Maryland schools by 2 percentage points from 2022 to 2023, but still lagged behind ELA at 25% proficient with 22 fewer percentage points.

Note: Harford math 8 and Baltimore City Algebra I had 2022 values not reported because the percentage was less than 5%. Math 8 scores for Baltimore City and Baltimore County were excluded altogether for being less than 5%.
