ICE detention in Nebraska increases under Trump

Between Oct. 1, 2022 and Jan. 19, 2025, Nebraska at most had 31 immigration detainees spread across eight county jails. Immigration detainee populations have grown since President Donald Trump returned to the White House. At its peak, Nebraska held 342 detainees on Feb. 10, 2026.
