South MS counties have some of the state's highest religious exemption rates

The rates show what percent of a county's childhood population claims religious exemptions to vaccines. They were highest in Lincoln, George and Stone counties.

Data for some counties is not included because state health officials suppressed counts under 5 to ensure privacy. The health department said there were no religious exemptions Humphreys County or Issaquena County. The data also does not include 1,139 exemptions in which the the parent or guardian did not list the "School County" on the request.
