Researchers compared the time between when a patient received an abnormal mammogram result and when they received a breast biopsy. Based on an analysis of 45,186 patients, they found that white breast cancer patients on average get a followup biopsy the soonest. People in racial and ethnic minority groups wait longer in comparison. Here, the vertical axis shows the relative risk of having a biopsy delay compared to white patients.
