The seven-day average of daily COVID-19 fatalities in Pennsylvania has increased rapidly in the last two months, from 12 on Sept. 20 to 85 on Tuesday, as state officials also announced 81 new fatalities. In New Jersey, the daily average has grown from 5 two months ago to 29.
